Mentoring Scheme
Our Mentoring Scheme will soon opens its doors to both mentors and mentees.
The scheme is an extensive global network, designed to support early career researchers and individuals entering from diverse disciplines, during which both mentors and mentees will have access to comprehensive learning resources and guided mentoring exercises.
The scheme will have many benefits for participants, including improved technical skills, stronger networks, advice on work-life balance, and strengthened societal impact of research projects.
Training & Internship
Our training programmes are twofold:
- Short course programmes will be delivered through existing routes, e.g., Bristol Medical School and Consumer Data Research Centre (Leeds) short courses and replicated in other countries over time, as well as through workshops at Digital Footprints Conference and in other conference venues
- A 6-month data science internship placements hosted by the Data Science development Programme at the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (now in its 10th successful year), which will be extended to other institutions
Early Career Network
The ISSDF will have an extensive Early Career Network, originated from the ECR events of Digital Footprints Conferences 2024 and 2025.
The Network is designed to help early-career researchers and postgraduate research students learn from peers and stakeholders, gaining necessary knowledge on how they can accelerate their career progression and drive public involvement. Events from the Network will include knowledge exchange, engaging activities, and interactive workshops led by world-class researchers and policy specialists, such that their research can stand out in both academia and the policy arena.
